It’s a funny thing, how an author goes about writing books. It took me months to get into the groove of writing Savage, the final in my paranormal romance trilogy. A few health problems set me back, and then once the procrastination started it got harder and harder to resist.
Eventually, though, I sucked it up and wrote the book for my readers. Now it’s going through edits before it’s ready for formatting. After that I’ll send out advanced copies to get reviews ready before the publication date.
In the meantime, I find myself… writing a bad boy romance book. A contemporary, non-paranormal romance book, something I didn’t think I’d ever be into! But reading contemporary romance made me realize there were a lot of things I liked about it, not the least of which is the ability to just relax and enjoy the steam and sizzle without all the complications of werewolves and magic (which are fun too, but take a lot of time to write well).
So while Savage is in edits, I’m working on my next book, which will be a bad boy contemporary romance novel. I’m also working on graphics for my website so I can rebrand as a general author of romance.
Don’t worry, I’ll have more paranormal romance books in the future. 🙂
Stay tuned for the title and cover reveal for my book after Savage!
